Please plan to join us for a fun-filled Christmas on   
Thursday, December 8th at the old cahaba Clubhouse!

Santa & Mrs. Claus will be coming to town just to see all of their favorite old cahaba kiddos!

Momma's--we will have the photo area set up again so you can get those Santa pictures without having to fight the lines at the mall or Bass Pro! 

There will be a smore's bar & a hot chocolate bar!

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, WE WILL HAVE A CARD STATION SET UP FOR KIDS TO WRITE LETTERS TO SANTA & CREATE A CARD FOR LOCAL FIRST RESPONDERS AND LOCAL NURSING HOME RESIDENTS. 

From what I hear, Santa is bringing a special treat for all the boys & girls on the nice list!

]]><![CDATA[c - spire in the o.c.]]>Wed, 06 Apr 2022 14:10:45 GMThttps://www.oldcahaba.org/oc-digest/april-06th-2022C-Spire is going to begin construction in the OC the week of April 11th.  This construction will likely take 120 +/- days to complete construction throughout the neighborhood.  Ryan, our C-Spire rep, will be at the OC Easter event next week to speak with anyone interested.  He will also hold a meeting (with Chick-Fil-A!) on April 19th at the clubhouse from 3-6 P.M. 

Please be patient with the construction crews as they are doing this work.  Due to the size of Old Cahaba, they will have 7 crews working in different areas to get this done as efficiently as possible.  

Should you have ANY issues-utilities, landscaping, etc.  please contact their construction service help line at (205) 582-1009.  you can also contact Ryan!

From what we're told, Peter Cottontail will be making a special appearance to see all his friends in the OC and he's bringing a huge load of prizes for all the EGGcelent hunters!

Thank you, to the Old Cahaba Members that came out Monday evening to the Annual HOA Meeting.  It was a very productive meeting and the residents that were present made several great suggestions for community improvement that we hope to implement within the next month.

It's Christmas time! 
The OC Christmas Party is this coming Saturday, December 18th, from 2-4 at the OC Parkway Pool Lot.
Santa will be attending from 2-4:30 for pictures.  
This year, we have a professional photographer available for family Santa pictures!
While this is not required, families that would like this must pre-register by Wednesday night, December 15th!  
Pictures will be $50 ($25 deposit required)

Other Christmas Party Activites

Aside from pictures with Santa, residents (big and small!) will have the opportunity to :
  • Roast marshmallows on the fire pit(s) and make smores at the smores bar
  • Enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate or have your heart grow 3x with some Grinch Juice
  • Grab some food at the Little London Food Truck
  • Make a Christmas card that will be sent to local nursing homes
  • Spend some quality time with your neighbors you may have not seen in going on two years! 

The o.c. gives back!

Most of us are so fortunate that we don't even think about where our next meal is or how we are going to keep warm this winter. In this season of giving, we ask that you consider donating to one of the following charity drives that will be collected at this event.  All donations will be listed as "from your friends in Old Cahaba Residential" : 
  • Canned Food Drive- non-perishable food items (These will be donated to local food pantries)
  • Old Towels/Blankets -these will be donated to the Shelby County Humane Society 
  • Jackets / Coats-these will be donated to local shelters
  • Toiletries- These will be donated to local shelters
